Some more things for KillerBlog

For my KillerBlog implementation I created a LoginStatus control, just like the one in ASP.NET Whidbey. It might make a nice tutorial if you have never created any custom controls. I've included the .cs file as an attachment. You will have to create your own project and remove the .txt extension from the downloaded file.

And I've also improved the MasterPage controls some more, so they allow you to change the master page control before the page is rendered. In ASP.NET Whidbey, you can only perform this customization in the (new) PreInit event. My implementation uses the Init event, as PreInit doesn't exist. I will check if I am allowed to post the code.

For ASPToday I also wrote an article on Thumbnails. Again, I will check if I can post the source code for these.

Todo status for KillerBlog beta 0.1:

  • Logging
  • Design skins (Jeroen van den Berg was ill today)

BTW, if you are interested in joining the beta program, let me know. You can post a comment or contact me at athissenAT killer-apps dot nl.
